EFCA SOUTHEAST DISTRICT CONFERENCE
The 2025 Southeast District Conference is OUR gathering —designed specifically for pastors, planters, elders, and ministry leaders and staff who serve the same towns, face the same struggles, and carry the same gospel across the Southeast. In two concentrated days of worship, teaching, and shoulder-to-shoulder fellowship, we’ll stir one another’s faith, share proven strategies, and leave with renewed energy for our churches. This is for us—don’t miss it!!

Breakout Sessions
Session 1: 1:30-2:30
Biblical Transformation, Spiritual Formation, and Means of Grace
Greg Strand, EFCA Executive Director of Theology and Credentialing
Location: Worship Center - (Offered at 1:30 and 3pm)
In this breakout, we will consider the following questions: What is “spiritual formation” and what is its history? Why is there increased interest in spiritual formation? How do we assess recent iterations of spiritual formation? What are the strengths and weaknesses of new approaches? How do we grow into the likeness of the Son? What are obstacles to spiritual growth? What are the means of grace God uses in our spiritual growth? Is something lacking in the normal means of grace that something more is needed or pursued?
Equipping for Christ-Centered Marriage Ministry
Bob Moeller, For Keeps Ministries
Location: Conference Room - (Offered at 1:30 and 3pm)
In a world where marriage is under constant pressure, the local church must be the first refuge couples run to for support, not the last resort after a crisis hits. Is it possible for a local church to develop a biblical and sustainable marriage ministry that equips staff and lay people to provide early intervention before it is too late? The answer is yes - and this session will equip leaders to do that. This breakout will focus on the heart as the foundation of marriage ministry and share practical strategies, including how For Keeps Ministries serves as a vital resource to our district churches.
Cultivating Leaders in the Local Church: Pastoral Residencies and Internships
Aaron Wojnicki, Pastor of Faith Community Church (Louisville, KY)
Andy Wulff, Lead Pastor of Hope Church (Madison, AL)
Location: Lighthouse Café 2 - (Offered at 1:30 and 3pm)
While seminaries provide theological education, only the local church can provide true pastoral formation. This session demonstrates how to design residency programs that bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical shepherding wisdom. This session will feature two experienced pastors sharing their implementation successes and challenges, followed by interactive workshop discussion. Don’t miss this opportunity to strengthen your church’s leadership pipeline!
Guarding the Gospel: The Why and How of EFCA Credentialing in the Southeast
Michael Roop, EFCA Southeast Credentialing Coordinator &
Lead Pastor of Creekside Community Church (Gainesville, FL)
Location: Lighthouse Café 1 - (Offered at 1:30 and 3pm)
Credentialing is more than a certificate; it’s a commitment to doctrinal integrity and guards our unity. Understand the “why” behind the “what” of EFCA credentialing. This session reviews the purpose, levels, and requirements of EFCA credentialing as a key part of safeguarding our doctrine and encouraging spiritual health. This breakout provides a clear roadmap of the available credentials, their differences, and the specific requirements for each. We’ll also introduce the new Southeast process and support team committed to making this vital step accessible and clear for every pastor and leader.
*******Breakout Session 2: 3-4pm Only
The Battle Belongs to the Lord: Hope for Weary Hearts (Women Only)
**(Offered Only from 3-4pm
Nancy Aguiar, Women’s Ministry Director Live Oaks Community Church (Oxford, FL)
Location: Family Room
Let’s be real: ministry is hard. The challenges can feel relentless and isolating. You are not alone. The pressures of family and ministry can feel like a vast army marching against you—criticism, exhaustion, and spiritual attack. How do you fight a battle you were never meant to win on your own? What if your most powerful weapon against fear isn’t a better plan, but a song of praise? Join us for a powerful session anchored in 2 Chronicles 20 - we’ll share our stories, identify the “vast armies” we’re facing, and practice turning our panic into prayer and our fears into faith. Come for honest conversation, biblical truth, and a fresh reminder that you don’t have to fight this battle alone.
Engaging the Hispanic Community in the Southeast
**(Offered Only from 3-4pm
Hugo Concha, EFCA Southeast Hispanic Ministries Director

Is your church effectively reaching the growing Hispanic community around it? Hispanics represent one of the most significant mission fields right here in the Southeast. This breakout is designed for both Hispanic leaders and any pastor/leader who wants to learn effective strategies for gospel outreach to the Hispanic community. We will explore actionable ideas, from church planting residencies to adding dedicated staff, showing how these efforts are a powerful picture of the gospel that breathes new life and growth into local churches. Join with other Hispanic pastors and leaders across our district for vibrant discussion!
In these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power.
